Well, destructive, record hurricanes are slamming the east coast with rain and snow, wind, beach erosion, coastal flooding, downed trees/power lines and massive chaos, now La Nina-like wetness in the PNW, despite El Nino resurfacing, extremely dry, warm and windy pattern setting up for most of Colorado, and really all of the southwest and no end in sight, in fact, Accuweather, granted that their forecasts have a low accuracy rate, are showing absolutely ZERO preciptation for the entire month of November, in fact, not even a cooldown in sight.
I can only hope that this doesn’t even come close to verifying, because were it to do that, it would mean that winter is already over for us, before it really ever even began.
So much for the Colorado Rockies…….we just might be finished.
Crazy hurricanes in the east, is winter already over in parts of the west? what is going on?

The past few years it seems as if the natural disasters are getting worse and worse, this was absolutely horrific. I believe this is a pre-requisite to the winter, although I certainly hope is isn’t this bad. I pray for all those affected by hurricane Sandy!
my local tv weather channel just put out their guess on our winter. our Mo. winter shall be fairly weak. not as warm and devoid of snow as last year…. but not much better.
In a nutshell: We had a warm winter with only 3 snows. A hot summer and a weak winter in our forcast. I’m bummed.
Winter hasn’t even started chillax and enjoy what you get…..
Its warm out today around my area. I like it. It i still love the cold weather. We had a low of 36 thursday morning (i think anyway) and a low of 42 last night. It was awesome.
I’m ready to lockdown with cold weather too, but heat keeps on making a comeback, temperatures could approach 80 tomorrow, not far from record high temperatures.
I wouldn’t believe what any meteorologist has to say about this upcoming winter. Even our local mets in Mid Missouri! Because the weather is going to do what it is going to do! It always does. Noaa probably always says the winter is going to be warm. Noaa only guesses what the winter is going to be like, for the most part they get it wrong. It was only a coincidence it went their way last year. I’m thinking it will be the opposite of how it was last year with cold temps and above or much above average snowfall!
