I been telling you guys not to get your hopes up. Everyone and there aunt said how we were suppose to get a cold and snowy winter last winter and what happened? Short term cold shots them medium size warm ups with rain and no snow really..And everyone once again is saying how it will be cold and snowy. Whatever mother nature gives up is what we ALL get.. But i do it gets cold and snowy all of a sudden and makes everyone happy. If i lose money again this year with my business im gonna seriously be Ped off.. But adogg30 chin up pal your snow will come one day..

even so Grandin, you should feel so lucky that you guys are even seeing any precipitation at all, at least your state isn’t saying that they fear for the future if we don’t start getting something soon, we are less than 18% of normal for the entire year, and less than 5% of normal for the fall so far…it’s just as I feared would happen, that we will be even drier than we were this summer, all I can say is, say goodbye to the central and southern Rockies, because all of what’s left of the forests here are going up in a cloud of smoke as they all burn up with temperatures that WILL soar to record highs again next summer, the lack of any moisture at all this year has pretty much guaranteed that scenario.
The Rockies that we all know and admire, are about to disappear forever. D:

I am ready for some real snow too. The stuff we got over the weekend has already melted, and we are supposed to be getting back into the 40′s and even 50′s. My 13yr old keeps telling me he thought it would be colder and snowing by now. We have barely seen a trace of the white stuff
Amy I got a feeling that within the next week or 2 we will get real snow. Don’t ask me any reason behind it cuz like I said its just a gut feeling
At least you’ve already seen snow… even in our warm winter, this time last year it was snowing. And I live in Mississippi. October was below average temperatures in Memphis (my nearest major city) and November looks like it will be too, but precipitation has been coming at the wrong time. It rains when it’s warm and it’s dry when its cold.

It’s somewhat depressing to look at accuweather’s forecast in December. We are supposed to get some snow tomorrow evening, but it won’t be much.

Dec 2: 54 and cloudy
Dec 3: 57 with some sun
Dec 4: 60
Dec 5: 41/cloudy
Dec 6: 33/cloudy
Dec 7: 39/flurries
Dec 8-11; 39/47/52/51
Dec 12-16: 48/45/43/42/43 intermittent sun/flurries all week
Dec 17-21: low 40′s for highs
I hope it changes though and we get more snow!
