Cold and snowy, then milder, then back to the cold

Well it’s been quite cool up here, especially for the time of year, the past week. Highs in the low 30s and lows in the upper 10s, and today only got up to 23 degrees with light snow falling all day. The ground is coated with a heavy dusting, and the ground is frozen solid. Most ponds/lakes have lightly iced over.

This will all end tomorrow when the thermometer goes above freezing for the first time in almost 36 hours and hits 40, with near 50 on Monday and Tuesday. However, the temperatures then go back down to seasonable by Thu, Fri and the weekend with highs in the upper 30s and lows in the 20s. I’m sure our dusting of snow will have melted by then… but it’s nice to see some colder air actually making it in this year.

Anyone else see some snow today, or colder-than-average temps?

Nope, just freakishly warm here, and almost 25 straight days without a single iota of precipitaion, or even any decent clouds for that matter, and some occasional damaging winds with a new fire burning.

gonna be in the mid 60′s tomorrow and 50′s all next week. The suppose winter lake effect snow storm wont happen now cause it’s suppose to be in thr 40′s and 50′s the week after next. so whatever..

Don’t worry… the warm wave will not last long. :)

We are supposed to get a snow/rain mix on Wed. depending on which site you look at. Weather channel says ‘snow showers’ but accuweather says rain/snow. We will see.
