So, for the forecast-able future, Central OH’s wintry spell is over, with mid-40s and RAIN forecast for next week. All the lovely snow here is going to melt…
However, Andrew from The Weather Centre said yesterday that he expects the end of January and February to be very cold due to the collapse of the polar vortex and subsequent influx of Arctic air.

More lik when will real winter start at all here in South Carolina.lol
We’ll see what happens. The NAO and AO is going trending negative, starting in mid-January. Maybe we’ll get our cold back. I’m not too worried at the moment, since “thaws” are not uncommon during January. I also keep in mind that the worst ice storm that I can remember happened after a 60 degree day.
It will be pushing the upper 50′s here in Mo. That’s not a good sign for snow. January is typically brutal here.
