i have been recently imformed about a major snowstorm with heavy snow accumulations in the states of indiana, illinois, michigan, kentucky, ohio, pensilvania, new york, maryland, conneticut, rhode island, massachussetts, vermont, and new hampshire this storm will be around great lakes and ohio valley for thursday 1-24-13 and to new england and mid atlantic for friday 1-25-13 going offshore then part of it swinging back into new england saturday 1-26-13 the storm will actually be two storms that merge over the ohio valley and move east.

The meteorologists here in OH are saying 4-6″ for our area from that storm, but I’ll believe it when it gets closer. The GFS is saying about 4 or 5.

Ours are saying here in Pittsburgh, its still to early to tell. So they wont give out any predictions

Yeah Fatima, it’s kinda funny because no one dares say how much we can expect.  Tonight we’re to have flurries and the local mets are calling for a dusting to half an inch, but Friday is only 2 days away and we can’t get a prediction.  This scares me because we’ll either get nothing or a lot!  I guess everyone on here knows what I’m hoping for.  :)

yeah, exactly snowlover. Just like i said yesterday, i had a gut feeling that by this afternoon today, models would get worse for more snow, and now some local meteorologists hint that there may be a couple or maybe even more inches of snow, which should happen friday, since temps have been trending colder for friday, and something told me this would happen last night, so tonight we have a half inch of snow, then friday could be a big snowfall, so we’ll have to watch this one carefully, as things are becoming a little interesting with our potentially very snowy and white visit from old man winter on friday! So stay tuned and keep posting.
