The weather channel has a video posted of them forecasting the temp forecast from now till April 2013. And like i been saying starting in march things will start to heat up fast! This spring and summer for a good part of the united states will be hot once again but alot more wet… Any thoughts on this?? ~Dan~

Poop. Not another hot summer…
Those are my thoughts.
I cant take another ****ty hot summer. We sure get the hot summers but cant get the cold winters anymore.
I’m gonna be standing in the old watch tower again on july 4th with my son and wife and my son’s friend in 90+ degree heat again at 9:45 in the morning! god***it this is gonna suck BUT i do like a loud thunderstorm in the evening though. just not severe or deadly. Get ready guys this year will be a hot one..
Dan
most of the time the weather channel be inaccurate anyway i mean that is just my opinion
They are inaccurate a lot.
I dont have a good opinion of any weather co. that tries to forecast for my area. I will say that my own thoughts are… the 2 past dry years were rough. The heat was unreal. But I’ve seen nothing that says the heat and drought are broke. I think were in for an other hot, dry summer. Maybe things will change when spring comes, but I’m surely not holding my breath for it!
I wouldn’t put any confidence into what TWC says this far out.
Much colder in April? That’s horrible. Anyone want to send some of their heat my way?
I don’t care about temperatures at this point, as we have seen both extremes this year, both record warmth and record cold, even had lows get near -20 for a few days, but that cold means nothing without moisture, I, and the rest of the Front Range, are just plain sick and tired of drought, drought and more drought, it hasbeen non-stop for 3 years now, and this year has been the worst so far, with less than 30 inches of snow that had little to almost no moisture content in it, normally by now we would have had close to 90 inches of snow…
I give up…drought will never end here, we are finished, reservoirs are gone, the ground moisture is depleted to the point of no return, storms are all losing all their strength as they head east of the Continental divide, and on top of that, unbelievably frequent bouts of damaging downsloping winds are drying out the land even more, even to the point where we have had dew points in the negative, meaning that the air is so dry that instead of humidity being in the air, the air itself sucks moisture from the already bone-dry ground, and fires are already becoming a big fear, and in some cases are already occuring again…in the middle of winter, that just doesn’t happen here.
Here is my prediction for Spring, that unless a humongous storm develops and draws moisture from the Gulf of Mexico, which isn’t likely to happen, then Spring will not bring any plant growth, but instead will bring a lack of any bloom, but will bring desertification and huge fire events due to an increased number of dying vegetaion.
And summer…will be a new hell for eastern Colorado.
My Dear Sapporo1,
I too, even here in where I am surrounded by the fresh water of the Great Lakes, doom lurks quietly in the winter. I hear how you say everything is sucked dry, the same happened here in the past summer, even tho there were some torrential rains, things fell off the wall!!! Including my shower fixtures, damn stuff just fell down off the wall, no kidding!!! It was like 98, and counting for days, hell, you say, I think it is here also, with hardly any honeybees, the plant growth of your own garden is tempered by your own vigalence watching the chipmunks and squirrels get your stuff because they do not have their own!!!
Love to hear from you, Miss Scott!
Miss Scott,
Gee, I didnt think about that garden thing. I just let last years garden dry up, it was just too hot to fight the inevidable!
I’ll have to really think hard about a garden this year. I hate doing without, but fighting mother nature sure isnt fun.
I’m already crying about the yucky tomatoes at the stores. They have no taste and the texture is weird. Yup, I’ll have to do a lot of thinking about a garden.
Yeah, we have to make necessary preparations for the worst of scenarios, including water conservation, sad to hear that even the Great Lakes are bone-dry.
I’m thinking container gardening. it takes less water and if I need to I can move them to a spot that gets early afternoon shade. that may be the ticket.
we’re forcasted for 40 degree weather all week. too wierd!
Wish we were 40.
I was wrong… 50′s.
