gourds

I have some bottle gourd seeds that are 2-3 years old. I just recently took them out of the gourd   to make a martin house. Will these seeds germinate?

The best way to check would be to soak 10 or so of them in warm water
for a couple hours.Place them on a wet paper towel, and cover with another
wet towel.I do this in a lid from an old peanut butter jar.Cover with plastic wrap,
and do not allow to dry out! Keep them in a warm place, and if they are still
viable, they should sprout in 14 days or less. Hope that helps.
