Spring is springing up in Maine… daytime temps are reaching the mid-60s and nightime temps are staying just above freezing (still frosting under the full moon). It’s light out past 7:30 now. Perenials are coming up from the ground and are starting to flower. Our daffodils bloomed earlier this week, and the maple trees are starting to flower too. Leaf buds are forming on plants everywhere, getting ready to produce foliage early next month. The grass is green and is starting to grow. Blackflies are coming out. All migratory birds appear to have returned.
After a chilly March and first half of April… the chill is finally going away. Happy spring fellow Northern New Englanders!
