Codfish Balls pick two cupfuls of codfish into small pieces. Soak in cold water for half an hour. Drain and pour over boiling water let stand on the back of the stove for fifteen minutes. Drain and mix with two cupfuls of cold boiled, mashed potatoes, a teaspoonful of butter, two tablespoons of cream and a pinch of pepper. make into balls and dip first into beaten egg and then into bread crumbs and fry in boiling lard.
