English Potato Balls – Boil some potatoes vey dry, mash them as smoothly as possible, season well with salt and pepper, warm them with about an ounce of butter to the pound and a few spoonfuls of good cream. Let them cool a little, roll them into balls, sprinkle over them some crushed vermicelli or macaroni, and then fry them light brown.
