I would like to know what folklore people saw from spring through early fall! According to my dad he saw several “all” black woolly worms and another Missourian said she saw white woolly worms or a white woolly worm. Saw many high spider webs some were drag lines on top of our red maple tree going from several branches up.
Some high spider webs were connected from the edge of our roof to the side of the house near the front porch. One was under the porch roof connected to one of the porch roof’s posts. There were a few others on the left side of the porch. Another area of spider webs around the light outside by the front door.
Varying degrees of high spider webs. One also went from the roof of a plant hut “with homemade fountain to water the plant” beside the house going up toward the houses roof or just under the edge of the roof. But the highest spider web was in between the two top power lines on the power pole behind the house.
Anyone especially from Missouri that got hold of any persimmons did you check to see what symbols were on the seeds? I believe the folklore can predict how the winter is going to be! I look at weather models and forecasts for entertainment. Humans create weather models and forecasts, but God’s creatures are intelligent in their own right, and because they are God’s creatures I believe they can predict the weather even what will happen during the winter season! I have heard woolly worms have between an 80-85% accuracy rating. I say if it worked for people for centuries to predict the weather it still works despite all of the technology we have now.
