End of January we had snow and ice that shut the city down having children forced to sleep at schools (buses nor parents could get to the schools) and people spent the night stuck on the road in their cars.
We had a threat of the same the last few days and didn’t get much until now. Now it is THICKLY snowing plus sleet and ice pellets. The ice has been coming all day and my back patio has about an inch deep of ice already.
No one here has the materials those up north use to handle this. We are all on lockdown in our homes. Fortunately they closed the schools end of day Monday and are keeping them closed… and the Governor told people NOT to go to work the last 2 days… looking like tomorrow will not be drivable either. Hoping for a melt on Friday!
I’d heard the Farmers Almanac had predicted that Feb would be the snowiest month in GA a long time ago. How do they do that?? We never get snow in Feb.
