Can anyone tell me what a winterlude means? I live in Western Ky and was wondering what this meant. This is supposed to happen in December.

I hope this will mean that Ky will get some snow and not Ice... We got enough of that in January 2009.

Indeed. ONE flippin' day of snow in Winter of 2009. It was only a dusting.

Then there was the supposed storm that was going to produce possible, near historic snowfall amounts for S.C.

That was a joke.

The up-state of S.C. and alotta N.C. got slammed. Basically Newberry and points north got lucky. Anything south of that point (like I am), got this very dissapointing mix of rain and snow that lasted a few minutes. The storm became so strong that it pulled in dry air from the South, and made a defined 'cut off point' for the snow and other winter time precipitation.

We were under a Winter Storm Warning, THEN a Winter Weather Advisory...then boom. Nothing. It all got canceled.

Rickster I feel your frustration! What can we do? That's exactly how it is for Richmond, VA. Sometimes I feel so stupid for complaining. Yet..I can't help it. :? Hopefully we'll both be happy this season!

I've said it once, and I'll say it again! Prey to the Snow gods and sacrifice a rain gauge!
