Isa is rapidly weakening. The Hybrid & the Hurricane/tropical storm (not sure of the latest update) will combine with the hybrid to produce heavy rains & strong winds from the Gulf coast, Se & Carolinas, & S virginia. Looks like the NE will stay dry. As I expected, the storm track changed, so, we'll have to wait for the next noreaster, probably near the ned of this month, if my calculations are correct.

Yes, I have been following this. I just don't see the cold temperatures. It must be that I can't find the timeframe for this but I don't know if it will happen.

As you may already know, we have 2 storms in the Gulf. One is a hyvbrid storm, & the other is hurricane Ida, which has about 24 hours to continue strengthening. If that isn't interesting enough, JUST TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT THE SUNDAY 12Z GFS DOES WITH IT!!!

It takes the storm up the eastern seaboard, & has it interacting with a short wave. Then.....BOOM. If the sunday 12z GFS is correct (which I hope it is) there would be hurricanne force winds battering the mid atlantic & eastern seaboard with areas from hatteras to nantucket feeling the strongest impact. Winds could gust up to 90MPH, there could be 35 ft waves, & areas in western MD & Central Apps (where I live) would recieve FEET of snow!!! THIS WILL PROBABLY CHANGE, BUT LETS DO THE NOREASTER DANCE & HOPE WE GET LUCKY!!! Lets go WILD, LOL

You don't really want that. People could get killed and lots of money would be lot to damages. Feet of snow is fun anywhere but not like that.

 What about east of the Dallas/Ft.Worth,Texas area? Is winter forcasted to come early? Should we expect any snow? I haven't caught any predictions locally and I am just an amatuer. Doing the best I can to understand, find it very interesting though.

That might not be far off, TWC is talking about this too. If it does make that much snow, post some pictures!

I am NOT seeing any cold temperatures with Ida. In fact the current models are showing Ida slipping of into the Atlantic...Not a good sign. Something need to break down this ridge of HP we are in... The runs are constantly changing and they will probably continue to change. So maybe we will see a Nor'easter out of this storm. Earlier in the day the models were showing Ida coming up in the mainland and it snowing in the Plains..That has since changed. So we will see.

Right now the leftovers of IDA are stalling over NYC and That area. Models are showing that some areas in New England might be getting around 10 inches of rain. No Snow as of right now.
