From what I have heard El Nino is getting stronger. Will this mean yet another bare winter?

I don't think so. The Signature of the El Nino is actually weak, & the PDO is attempting to hold its ground. When this +EPO drops & this active MJO dies down, we'll see the oncoming of winter. I addition, December should be the timeframe of the first arctic outbreak, & this El Nino will Weaken as we head into Jan, & Especially FEBB. This El Nino should peak at a sturdy Moderate in Early DEC, before weakening significantly into Febuary, & by winters end, El Nino may Barely wexist, or it could be weak. We'll see.

I heard that since it will likely be so cool, that the LES with shut off early and bring less snow to the interior of New England.

This is not good since I love the snow. Just a few weeks ago people frm other blogs talked about how Boston will get above avg. snow and now 5 days later it could be a record low. What a shame.
