Jewell Weed is a great natural solution. It grows in ditches and other wet places. If you find any, you can take a hand full and boil them down for about a half hour. Then take the solution and put it into ice cube trays and freeze it for future and present use.

I found that this old Indian cure really works.. you find the weed Plantain pick the leaves and rub them between your fingers until they juice and put the juice on the rash or just rub the leave on the rash it also stops the itching but if you do it 2 or 3 times a day it should be gone in no time..

oh honey go get some caldryl lotion or spray. Get someone who is not allergic to that stuff to pull it up by the roots and put it in a bag for the garbage man. don't burn it, the smoke will make you itch too.

When you see poison ivy, look around, you will also see the jewel weed growing along side it. If you touch the P I, grab the jewel weed and rub the stems in between your palms so that you break them open and expose the juice. Take the broken plant stems and rub where you have been exposed to the P I. This also works very well with metal, I'm walking testimony! If you can't find the jewel weed, which is the natural anti venom for P I, take a bar of soap, preferrably home made, make a lather and apply it to the rash, leave it on, it won't burn you. We teach this to the kids and parents all the time and they are amazed at how well it works.

do what my childhood friend did. go to the city pool and swim for a few hours. the high clorine and messed up PH did in her poison ivy/oak rash. with out the city pool she'd suffer for a week or better. one trip to the city pool... plus one day... she was right as rain.
p.s. I've never had poison oak/ivy. so I have only seen what it does and what the pool did for Susan.

Yes DO NOT BURN any plants that you physically remove. The resulting smoke can cause severe lung damage if inhaled.
