my mother used to make a cake every year for chirstmas, it was about 15 thin layers high, baked in a 5 gallon lard can lid, she would press the dough into the lid then bake it. i was wondering if any one has the recipe, she wrote it down for me while on her death bed then after her passing some one stole the recipe. oh she used dried apples to make a filling to go between the layers. i sure hope some one knows the cake i am talking about, i miss her so much & would like to make her cake

This is sad.. I wish you knew what it's called and we could probably research for it on the net. I know there must be someone out there who knows the recipe and that someone might not be a member on this forum...
