I would visit my Grandfather’s grave with her and we would clean his tombstone and leave freshly cut flowers from her garden on his grave. And she would also hang his flag. Also, drivers’ would turn on the headlights of their vehicles on Memorial Day, Flag Day, the Fourth of July and Veteran’s Day.

I passed it along to my sons. My family has many veterans to remember. Uncles & cousins from WW2 all the way to currently enlisted & risking their lives daily.
