I thought this was a great article, and it made great reading for a Saturday morning. I think I may have heard of this in a childhood story, but I didn’t know it really existed. I think I myself would like to try this, as it does appeal to my mystery solving appetite.

One other thing: Letterboxing is about trading stamp *images*, not the stamps themselves. Rubber stamps in letterboxes are not intended to be removed or traded.

I love the article as it describes the love of the hunt in letterboxing and geocaching. This will really spark an interest in either sport. Another popular website for letterboxing is AtlasQuest.com. Very user friendly, and has great tutorials in getting started.

A minor clarification: http://www.letterboxing.org was the most popular letterboxing site at one time, but more recently http://www.atlasquest.com has gained prominence and today may be the more popular site in some regions.
