Re: Keep Deer out of garden
Hey Tomato Guy... The black soaker hoses sounds...
Sedums in a Shoe
Jennifer Carlson © 2007
Do you ever wonder what to do with your worn out shoes? Why not plant them?
What you need to get started:
An old shoe or boot
A small bag of potting soil and compost
3-5 varieties of sedums in 2” pots
A large nail
Hammer
Gardening trowel
Now let’s begin:
- Turn the shoe upside down.
- Pound a few drainage holes in the sole of the shoe with the large nail.
- If the shoe has laces, loosen or remove them.
- Fill the shoe with moistened compost/soil mix
- Arrange sedums inside the shoe
- Set the shoe on a sunny porch step and voila!
