Springtime Often Means MUD Time
Keep Mud Outside.
Need a boot scraper? Make your own from an old scrub brush.Nail it to the porch floor, bristles up. It will keep the dirt where you want it, outside.
If that doesn’t help and mud still finds its way onto your carpet, let it dry completely. Dried mud is much easier to loosen than wet mud. Use a stiff brush and/or vacuum to get it up. If it leaves a spot, rub a little denatured alcohol on the spot.
Mud Stained Clothes?
If you’re trying to get mud off of clothes, rub the spot with the cut side of a piece of potato. Then soak the clothing in cold water for at least an hour. Launder as you normally would, and the spot should come out.
