A Pillow Can Ease Your Headache Pain

Often, a soft, fluffy pillow, a glass of millk and a good book can help you relax. But what about when you have a headache? You might need something stronger. Try a headache pillow. Its fragrant smell might just ease the pain in your head.
Here are two “recipes” for making a headache pillow.
Headache Pillow~
Lavender is said to relieve tension headaches.
Combine 2 oz. each: lavender, marjoram, wood betony, rose petals, and ½ oz. cloves. Fill a thin pillow with the herb combination – and inhale the fragrance when relaxing.
Rice-to-the-Relief Pillow~
Select a long sturdy sock or sew two fingertips towels together and fill ¾ full of rice and lavender flowers to a ratio of 75% rice and 25% lavender. Heat in the microwave until warm, but not hot! This pillow is soothing to an aching neck or joints. The warmed rice holds in the heat.
Variation: Wheat berries can be used instead of rice.
