When hayfever attacks
During this time of the year, ragweed pollen often makes life miserable for those suffering from allergies, particularly hay fever.
But don't despair. There are nutritional supplements, as well as things that you can do to help ease the discomforts of hay fever.
- Change your clothes and wash your hair after spending time outdoors to avoid bringing the irritant inside the house. Pollen sticks to your clothes and hair.

- Co-enzyme Q10, often referred to as COQ10, is a natural supplement that improves oxygenation and immunity. In her book, Prescription for Nutritional Healing, Phyllis Balch, CNC, suggests taking a dosage of 30 mg twice daily.
- Those with chronic hay fever should spend as little time outside as possible when pollen levels are high. Check your local weather report daily; many broadcasts include a pollen report.
