To help ring in the holidays, try adding the flavor of gingersnap to a few of your favorite muffin and other dishes.

All you will need is gingersnap crumbs. So get out a Ziploc bag, place the cookies in a bag, and roll a rolling pin on the bag until the cookies are crushed into crumbs. Here are a few tasty ideas for your gingersnap crumbs:

  • Fold your gingersnap cookie crumbs into muffin, pancake, cake, or pie batter.
  • Sprinkle your gingersnap cookie crumbs over a bowl of your favorite ice cream.
  • Sprinkle pancakes with your gingersnap cookie crumbs and pour on maple syrup.
  • Make your own cream cheese spread flavored with gingersnap cookie crumbs by mixing cream cheese and cookies crumbs with an electric mixer. Add sugar or honey, to taste. This spread is great on cinnamon bagels.
  • Perk up your pumpkin cheesecake up with a gingersnap cookie crust.
