Dissolve 1 package of yeast in 5 tablespoons warm water. Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, salt and sugar. Cut in 1 cup shortening. Add 2 cups buttermilk and dissolved yeast. Knead lightly. Do not let rise. Shape and bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes (If not baked immediately, store in refrigerator).

5 cups flour
