Chocolate Mocha Punch

7 cups water
½ cup instant coffee
2 cups nonfat dry milk
½ cup sugar
Dash of salt
1 quart chocolate ice ream, softened
1 cup chilled whipping cream
Ground nutmeg


Heat 1 cup water to boiling. Dissolve instant coffee in water. Stir in remaining water, the dry milk, sugar, and salt. Refrigerate until chilled- 3 to 4 hours. Place ice cream in punch bowl. Pour chilled coffee mixture over ice cream, swirl ice cream through coffee mixture. Beat whipping cream in chilling bowl until very soft peaks form. Top punch with mounds of whipped dream. Sprinkle mounts with nutmeg. Serves 16.
