Coleslaw

coleslaw

1 medium-sized head of cabbage, shredded
¼ cup sugar
3 tablespoons vinegar
3 tablespoons salad oil
Salt and pepper
Mayonnaise


Pour sugar and vinegar into a 2 cup measuring cup; stir to dissolve sugar. Stir in salad oil. Add enough mayonnaise until total ingredients equal 1 ½ cups. Mix well and season to taste. Celery salt may be added for flavor if desired. Pour over cabbage and toss completely.
