Peel onions and boil in salted water until tender then drain. Melt butter in sauce pan, blend in flour. Stir in milk and cook slowly until sauce thickens stirring constantly. Add Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and seasonings to taste. Reheat onions in sauce. Scatter peanuts over onions just before serving. Makes 4-6 portions.
Creamed Onions with Peanuts
16-18 small onions
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons flour
1 ½ cups milk
1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
1 teaspoon mustard
¼ cup peanuts, chopped
