Grease a 9 x 13 baking dish. Peel and slice 6 to 8 apples, enough to fill the pan half full. Sprinkle with 1-cup brown sugar and 2 tsp. cinnamon. If desired, add 1 cup raisins. Melt margarine. Blend together the flour, brown sugar, and oatmeal, add the melted margarine and mix together until crumbly. Sprinkle over the apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes until the apples are soft. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
