Marinated Bean Salad

4 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon vinegar
2 tablespoons salad oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1 small onion, sliced into rings
1 (8 oz.) can water chestnuts
1 cup string beans, cooked and drained or equal amount of frozen beans


Combine marinade ingredients. Pour over vegetables. Refrigerate several hours for flavors to blend. Serve very cold. 6 servings.
