Mulled Cider

2 qt. apple cider

Several small red apples studded with

2 cinnamon sticks

cloves

8 whole cloves

Cinnamon stick stirrers

2 tablespoons granulated sugar


Simmer apple cider, 2 cinnamon sticks, whole cloves and granulated sugar for 30 minutes. Discard cinnamon sticks and cloves, then pour into a heatproof serving bowl. Add several small apples studded with cloves (they'll float). Serve hot cider in mugs with cinnamon stick stirrers.
