Orange Pecans

1 1/2 c. sugar

1/2 c. orange juice 

grated orange rind 

3 c. pecans 

Combine 1 ½ cups sugar and ½ cup orange juice. Cook until mixture reaches the soft all stage or 236 on a candy thermometer. Remove from heat. Add the grated rind of an orange and 3 cups pecan halves. Stir until mixture looks cloudy. Drop on waxed paper. Separate the pecan halves. Allow to harden.
