½ cup shortening
1 ½ cups sugar
2 large eggs
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 ¼ cups flour
½ teaspoon salt
1 (6 oz.) package mini chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease cookie sheets. Beat peanut utter, shortening, and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in milk and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients. Add all at once and mix on low setting until blended. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop dough by heaping teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheets. Bake 11-13 minutes or until golden brown. Make 4 ½ dozen.
