Brown and drain ground beef. Cook rice, onion, margarine and garlic together, according to rice directions. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. Add English peas, mixed vegetables, mushrooms on bottom for first layer. Top with meat next. Top with rice, onion and garlic mixture. Top with soup mixture. Top with grated cheese. Bake uncovered, 45 minutes to an hour, or until bubbly around edges.
Sunday Dinner Casserole
1 can undrained English peas
Black pepper & salt to taste
2 cans mixed vegetables, drained
1/4 stick margarine
1(4oz) can mushroom pieces, drained
4oz (or more) sharp grated cheese
1 cup rice(uncooked measurement)
1 1/2lbs ground beef, browned
2 onions, diced
Garlic, minced (as much as you like)

2 can cream of mushroom soup (diluted with 1 can of water)
