Cook onions in the melted butter until lightly browned. Spoon into baked pie shell. Combine milk, sour cream, salt (optional), eggs and flour. Mix well; pour over onions. Garnish with bacon. Bake at 325 F. for 35 to 40 minutes or until firm in the center. Serves 6 to 8.
Vidalia Onion Pie
1(9 or 10-inch) baked pie shell
3 tablespoon melted butter or margarine
3 cup thinly sliced onions
1 1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup milk
2 beaten eggs
3 tablespoons flour
4 strips fried bacon, crumbled
