Bulldog, Skip may not live by the gulf but here in the midwest (Nebraska here) when there is a large storm in the gulf the rain and storms do travel north to us within a day or two. So your storms do impact us also.

Once again the Farmer’s Almanac is correct! Here we are, June 25th and there is a disturbance just right out of the mouth of the Golf… I have to admit, after those horrendous storms in Lo I take everything more serius, Sure, for all of us who live in Tx, we know once is entered the golf, is red alert from Florida to Texas and Mexico cause there is just no way out, Good Luck to all of us living near the Golf, and God Bless us All.

Hey Skip be real if you live in Chicago I don’t think the storm surge from a hurricane will hit there. I live along the Gulf Coast in Tx and if a hurricane does enter the gulf we are the ones in trouble

Does anyone know what ultimate effect a hurricane would have if it hits the Gulf? This BP debacle has me really worried. I live in Chicago, and have heard that the oil may somehow get up here if there were a hurricane.
