I think Virginia had more of a winter than everyone else. In February the farmers almanac predicted a big snow storm for the mid atlantic and northeast but it looks like we had the most of that one. We had 10 inches of snow total from that storm. Temps here have stayed colder than normal through much of the month. Then we had another snow in early March that gave us about an inch or 2. plus a minor snow in January but it was still a warm winter but February put us back a few degrees on our average

I'm liking the spring outlook! As you have probably heard a million times before this wasent much of a winter. I dont think anyone knew the jet stream would act the way it did.. but my daughter is getting married in Evington, Virginia on December 15, 2012 and maybe if this December is anything like last one then we can have an outdoor wedding! It should be cold but I dont know what to expect in winter anymore. Is there anyway I could get the forecast for just that day? it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Melissa

Im pretty sure this winter has gotten alot of people worried about what the spring and summer will bring. Im actually worried we might have another year without a summer! a wet, cool and miserable summer and i dont want that. Bring on the 100 degree days! I want another hot summer. Next winter will hopefully be colder. A mild winter here and there is fine but i love my winter cold and snowy days

Sorry Aaron, We won't be releasing our predictions for next winter until August (though you can get a peek at December if you pick up a 2012 Almanac or read our forecast in our weather-only ebook).
