20th-23rd. Clash of very warm air from Gulf of Mexico and cold arctic air brings rain and thunderstorms across the region, especially for the Rockies. 24th-27th. Dry weather, with cold winds from the Rockies into the Prairies. 28th-30th. Rain and snow increase over the Rockies and Prairies, then very cold air sweeps south at Grey Cup time.
December 2009
1st-3rd. From the western slopes of the Rockies and all points east, stormy conditions prevail, with rain and snow, followed by clear and cold weather. 4th-7th. Another storm from British Columbia moves into the Rockies by the 7th. 8th-11th. Storm from the Rockies brings snow to the Prairies. 12th-15th. Pacific storm brings widespread rain and snow to the Rockies yet again. 16th-19th. Considerable cloudiness, with a passing snow flurry or two. 20th-23rd. A series of low-pressure disturbances from Alaskan waters produce periods of heavy rain and snow. Bitterly cold temperatures follow. 24th-27th. Generally fair, dry and very cold for Christmas and Boxing Day. 28th-31st. Moisture and energy from British Columbia brings a renewed threat of snow.

1st-3rd. Fair, cold. 4th-7th. Snow Rockies to Manitoba. 8th-11th. Turning stormy Alberta. Heavy snow Prairie Provinces. 12th-15th. Fair, cold. 16th-19th. Light snow Alberta, Saskatchewan.
