North Central U.S. Weather

November 2009
20th-23rd. Rain and thunderstorms across the Northern Rockies and Plains. 24th-27th. Dry, with cold winds from the Northern Rockies into the Great Plains for Thanksgiving. 28th-30th. Rain and snow over the Rockies and Plains States, then very cold air sweeps south.

December 2009
1st-3rd. From the western slopes of the Rockies east, stormy conditions prevail. Rain and snow is followed by clear and cold weather. 4th-7th. Another storm moves into the Northern Rockies by the 7th. 8th-11th. Storm from the Rockies brings snow to the Plains area. 12th-15th. Pacific storm brings widespread rain and snow to the Rockies again. 16th-19th. Considerable cloudiness, with a passing snow flurry. 20th-23rd. Storminess, from Alaskan waters, produces periods of heavy rain and snow. Bitterly cold temperatures follow. 24th-27th. Generally fair, dry, and very cold conditions. 28th-31st. Renewed threat of snow.

January 2010
1st-3rd. Fair, cold. 4th-7th. Milder, then snowy from Rockies east. 8th-11th. Fair, then stormy. Heavy snows across Plains, up to 20" possible. 12th-15th. Fair, cold. 16th-19th. Light snow across Plains, windy.
