South Central U.S. Weather

November 2009
20th-23rd. Showers and scattered thunderstorms. 24th-27th. Dry, with colder temperatures for Thanksgiving. 28th-30th. Rain and snow. Cold air sweeps south. A “blue norther” for Texas.

December 2009
1st-3rd. Mostly cloudy and quite windy, with showers of rain and (over higher terrain) wet snow. 4th-7th. Storm from Texas moves northeast, with widespread rain and wet snow. 8th-11th. More rain or wet snow showers. 12th-15th. Unsettled weather. 16th-19th. Cloudy. Passing rain or wet snow showers. 20th-23rd. More precipitation, followed by a surge of much colder air. 24th-27th. Fair, dry, and cold. 28th-31st. More rain and wet snow possible as the year comes to a close.

January 2010
1st-3rd. Fair, cold. 4th-7th. Blustery, with light snow Southern Rockies. Rain Texas, Gulf Coast, then clearing. 8th-11th. Fair, then stormy. Heavy snow Southern Plains, 8"-10" possible. 12th-15th. Fair, cold. 16th-19th. Light snow Southern Plains. Fair, then showers Texas.
