How Hot Have the Past Several Summers Been?

Ever wonder how hot or how cold the past several summers and winters have been? Check out these stats from a period of 30 year averages compiled by Weather Bill, a company that provides weather protection services for companies and industries.

These averages were compiled using the daily average temperature (halfway between the daily high and the daily low) as the measure of temperature. Summer is June, July and August, and winter is December, January and February. The average temperatures were taken from 380 US weather stations.

In summary, 4 of the hottest summers of the past 30 years have been in the 2000s, and 4 of the warmest winters were in the 90s!
