Re: UPDATED CFS WINTER OUTLOOK!
These maps are monthly 500mb charts....
Weather May Be the Wild Card At the Super Bowl
Numbingly cold temperatures have invaded the country, which if you’ve been consulting the Farmers’ Almanac came as no surprise. With the release of the 2009 Farmers’ Almanac back in August, we went out on a limb and stated that the cold was back and that winter would be “numbingly cold” especially in January. So far, so accurate.
Now that January is almost over and all eyes are wondering what will happen on Sunday, February 1, in Tampa Bay (Super Bowl), the Farmers’ Almanac is forewarning fans of a possibly wet game day. Since the stadium is outdoors, fans may want to pack an umbrella and rain jacket.
Steelers fans my experience some delay in travel if they’re lucky enough to be heading south with snowy, wet conditions on tap for the end of January. However Cardinal fans should have great conditions to fly to Florida.
Will the Cold Continue?
Looking ahead, the Farmers’ Almanac continues to see cold conditions creeping into all areas of the country, including Florida. For more detailed forecasts check out your zone here.
