September 2008
1st-3rd Showers over Saskatchewan and Manitoba dampen Labor Day. Changeable skies for Alberta.  4th-7th Pleasant conditions, then squalls in the Rocky Mountains and the Prairies.  8th-11th Fair skies.  12th-15th Pleasant initially, then showers Rockies through Prairies east.  16th-19th A return to pleasant weather, then turning stormy over Alberta, with wet snow possible over the highest elevations.  20th-23rd Stormy over the Prairies.  24th-30th Fair, cold weather gives way as unsettled weather spreads into Alberta and Saskatchewan.  28th-2nd Clearing and cold.  


October 2008
1st-3rd Some wet snow over the highest terrain of Alberta. Increasing clouds spread east through Saskatchewan and Manitoba.  4th-7th Squalls spread east over the Prairies, with cold temperatures.  8th-11th Sunny skies, then wet into the Prairies.  12th-15th Clearing and turning cold in time for Thanksgiving.  16th-19th Severe storms for Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.  20th-23rd Drier, colder weather.  24th-27th Wet conditions, followed by clearing and colder weather.  28th-31st More of a weather trick as opposed to a treat: fair, then stormy weather with snow in the Rockies and the Prairies.
