Lady Bugs

I usually get questions about lady bugs during  the fall months. But here is one today that warrants an answer.

.Q. How can you get rid of lady bugs. They are on most of our windows and are becoming a real pain .

A. Not knowing what part of the country this is from, my thought is that lady bugs have started to stir and if it is cold at night, they tend to climb onto the sides of houses during the daylight hours to absorb the warmth from the sun. These little gals are invaluable to our gardens. Once the temperature moderates days and nights, they will say in the ground and enjoy the dirt. But, for a few days, they are just trying to absorb the rays.  It is important to be sure there are no small holes or cracks for them to get into the home. They can do a job with carpets if left to roam
