Yes it is that time again – almost! The newest edition of the Farmers’ Almanac – which contains the long-awaited outlook for the winter, spring, and summer ahead is scheduled to officially be released on Monday, August 31, 2009.

After some very wacky  weather this summer, our forecast is in high demand. I see that there has been some chatting going on about our forecast, but I hope you will wait to see what our official outlook is by coming back to our site on August 31, 2009.

I can share with you that in addition to a very interesting forecast for the upcoming winter, the 2010 Farmers’ Almanac contains many articles and features that will help you put less strain on your wallet and on the earth. Our goal is to help you Grow Your Life in Many ways…. can’t wait to share more but for now, my lips are sealed.

Enjoy the weekend!

If you notice a hole in the upper left-hand corner of your Farmers' Almanac, don't return it to the store! That hole isn't a defect; it's a part of history. Starting with the first edition of the Farmers' Almanac in 1818, readers used to nail holes into the corners to hang it up in their homes, barns, and outhouses (to provide both reading material and toilet paper). In 1919, the Almanac's publishers began pre-drilling holes in the corners to make it even easier for readers to keep all of that invaluable information (and paper) handy.
