This week has been a real soaker in the eastern portion of the country. Many of us have not seen the sun in almost a week, and when it’s not raining, the sky is grey. Yet on our Facebook page there are people asking us to send our rain to Texas, where they are experiencing a drought.
Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a way for us to balance the weather? I mean if Texas needs some precipitation, why can’t we share?
And then here we are complaining about the endless days of rain and grey skies, when areas in Louisiana are fighting for their life due to the flooding. Mother Nature sure seems to be on a rampage.
Today I’ve heard rumors of more tornadoes on the way and snow in the Plains. This truly has been a very stormy and violent spring.
While the weather gives many of us plenty of reasons to complain especially when there are life-threatening extremes going on, is there a type of weather that’s nearly perfect?
To some a hot humid day is ideal, while to others a cool, grey day is the way to go. Ever notice that after a particularly cold winter, the people who complained the most are usually the ones that complain about how hot it is? It truly is amazing how much weather controls our attitudes and activities.
Last year we ran a fun quiz on what your weather personality is. We also named our picks for the Top 5 Worst Summer Weather Cities. Be sure to check them out and then let me know — what’s your “ideal forecast” and maybe what your suggestions are for the worst Spring Weather Cities are (at least based on this year’s spring weather).
Stay safe and dry…
