Garlic Roasted Potatoes

4 medium roasting potatoes
4 cloves garlic
2 tablespoons of olive oil
Salt to taste

Preheat the oven to 425° F. Wash the potatoes and cut them in half lengthwise. Cut each half into three even segments. Peel the garlic cloves. In a medium-sized bowl, toss together the olive oil, potatoes, garlic and until the potatoes and garlic cloves are evenly coated. Place the mixture in a baking pan and bake for 30-40 minutes.

Starting with the first edition of the Farmers' Almanac in 1818, readers used to nail holes into the corners to hang it up in their homes, barns, and outhouses (to provide both reading material and toilet paper). In 1919, the Almanac's publishers began pre-drilling holes in the corners to make it even easier for readers to keep all of that invaluable information (and paper) handy.
