November 2019

12th-15th.
New storm moves from Great Lakes up into eastern Canada. Heavy rain, wet snow along storm track. Then clearing, very cold.
16th-19th.
Very cold Great Lakes. Then, a fast-moving storm reaches the region by the 19th provides some heavy snow, then colder temperatures.
20th-23rd.
Rain, thunderstorms, especially Great Lakes.
24th-27th.
Unsettled, wet.
28th-30th.
Few rain or wet snow showers Thanksgiving. Colder.

December 2019

1st-3rd.
Rain and wet snow shift east into Great Lakes, points south to Kentucky; clear, cold weather follows.
4th-7th.
Storm from Texas moves up to Ohio River Valley, depositing heavy rain, wet snow. Very cold air follows.
8th-11th.
Temperatures still well below seasonal norms.

If you notice a hole in the upper left-hand corner of your Farmers' Almanac, don't return it to the store! That hole isn't a defect; it's a part of history. Starting with the first edition of the Farmers' Almanac in 1818, readers used to nail holes into the corners to hang it up in their homes, barns, and outhouses (to provide both reading material and toilet paper). In 1919, the Almanac's publishers began pre-drilling holes in the corners to make it even easier for readers to keep all of that invaluable information (and paper) handy.
