Quick Peach Cobbler

Ingredients
  

  • 1 quart sliced peaches.
  • 1 to 1 ½ cups sugar*
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Directions:
    Combine peaches and 1/2 cups sugar in a saucepan.  Heat until sugar is dissolved, stirring frequently. 
    Melt butter in 9×13 baking dish in oven.  Combine remaining 1 cup sugar, flour, and milk in a large bowl and mix well. Add vanilla and cinnamon; mix well.  Spoon over melted butter in baking dish.  Pour in peaches.  Bake at 375 degrees F for 1 hour or until brown.  Serve with vanilla ice cream, if desired.
    Serves 10.
    * If your peaches are sweet, you can adjust the sugar in this recipe to your liking.
