20th-23rd. Clash of very warm air from Gulf of Mexico and cold arctic air brings rain and thunderstorms, especially for the Great Lakes. 24th-27th. Wet weather. 28th-30th. Few rain or wet snow showers at Grey Cup time. Colder.
December 2009
1st-3rd. Rain and wet snow shifts east into the Great Lakes, followed by clear and cold weather. 4th-7th. Storm from south moves into Ontario, depositing heavy rain and wet snow. Very cold air follows. 8th-11th. A “winterlude” before another bout of wintry weather. 12th-15th. Considerable cloudiness with scattered showers. 16th-19th. Considerable cloud cover. Perhaps a few showers of rain or wet snow. Unseasonably mild temps. 20th-23rd. More showers of rain and wet snow. 24th-27th. Showers of rain and wet snow persist for Christmas and Boxing Day. 28th-31st. Blustery and much colder weather sweeps in, with frequent snow showers and flurries as 2009 comes to a close.
January 2010
1st-3rd. Fair, cold. 4th-7th. Fair, then snow breaks out near the St. Lawrence River Valley. 8th-11th. Heavy snow Great Lakes. 12th-15th. Fair, cold all of Ontario. 16th-19th. Snow squalls Great Lakes.
